Windows 8 tablets
There are still a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to Windows 8 tablets, but the information is starting to come out, and there's no doubt Microsoft is prepared to make a real go of this tablet malarkey.
Windows 8 will use a Metro interface that's much like Windows Phone 7 for when it's used on touch devices, with separate Metro apps. It will support ARM processors, such as Tegra 3, as well, which means manufacturers have options for the hardware they include.
Whether the addition of a new touch interface on top of the traditional Windows look will entice developers and customers is hard to say, but it seems to have the manufacturers on board, and we'll be able to see more when the public beta arrives early next year. If Microsoft pulls it off, it may suddenly become a big mobile player again.

Facebook looking to buying whatsApp: Rumors
Unofficial sources has confirmed facebook looking to buy WhatsApp. However, this is a gentle move for Facebook because WhatsApp is available on a number of different platforms and has a staggering 100 million daily active users globally, serving few billion messages every day. The mobile app is currently the number-two paid app in the US Apple App Store, where it sells for $0.99. On Google Play, it’s free for the first year, and then $0.99 per year thereafter. Why Facebook wants for this deal?
Facebook previously bought Instagram for $1Billion not very long, although that number is mostly reflected in now reduced stock options. It’s not clear why Facebook would buy WhatsApp but there are a few possibilities, including augmenting or even gutting the unreliable Facebook Chat and there is of course the legion of WhatsApps users. Please leave your comments below if you have different view.
Stay tuned for more update.

Changes in physical size over time
The first hard disk drive, like so many innovations in computing, came from IBM. It was called the IBM Model 350 Disk File and was a huge device. It had 50 24-inch diskscontained inside a cabinet that was as large as a cupboard and anything but lightweight. This hulk of a storage unit could store a whopping 5 MB of data.

Amazing facts and figures about the evolution of hard disk drives
It took 51 years before hard disk drives reached the size of 1 TB (terabyte, i.e. 1,000 GB). This happened in 2007. In 2009, the first hard drive with 2 TB of storage arrived. So while it took 51 years to reach the first terabyte, it took just two years to reach the second.
This article looks back at how hard disk drives have evolved since they first burst onto the scene in 1956. We’ll examine the radical changes over time for three different aspects of HDDs: Size, storage space, and price.

Computer Tech Terms, Facts, and Trivia
The word digital is widely used, but many folks don't know what it actually means; digital describes any system that's based on discontinuous data or events (discontinuous means not continuous or having breaks).
The opposite of digital is analog (analog processes information more or less in a continuous stream).
The word Internet has spawned several new words. Did you know that a netizen is a citizen of the Internet? You do now. A netiquette is etiquette for the Internet.
Query-This is the word or string of words you type into a search engine. When you tell the search engine what you want to know you are querying the Web.
