Blackberry Playbook UK release

The highly anticipated Blackberry Playbook is set for release any day now!

Apple represents one of the most successful brands of recent years. Responsible for dominating the market for tablet computers, the company took the industry by storm with the launch of the iPad in 2010 – one of the most astonishing technological phenomena of the past decade. Now the company is about to face some stiff competition with the arrival of a brand new product which could serve to threaten Apple’s supremacy. This April 2011 promises to witness the arrival of the Blackberry Playbook – an exciting device which is already stirring up excitement amongst potential buyers.

The imminent Playbook has also generated great optimism amongst gaming enthusiasts who can look forward to enjoying mobile gaming services with increased comfort. Larger than the smart phone but smaller than the iPad, the new tablet offers gamers the chance to access their favourite titles whilst on the move and at their convenience. Unlike the iPhone which does not support Flash software, the Blackberry Playbook will allow users to access no download casinos giving them the chance to enjoy numerous arcade and social games wherever and whenever they choose. Many feel that this increased capability will give the new product the edge over the much loved but limited iPad.

Compact, attractive and easy to transport, it’s no wonder everybody’s counting down the weeks to the arrival of the Blackberry Playbook. Fans of online casinos will certainly be hoping to check out the new device for themselves with less than a month to go before the hotly anticipated launch. Industry members will be looking on with keen interest.

iPhone 5 set for UK release

Apple likes to keep its releases regular – iPhones have been released every year since 2007. Every year the same event: Apple hires out the Yerba Buena Centre in San Francisco – around June or July – and confirms the next iPhone 5 !!!!

Although there's no official release date for the iPhone 5 yet, there is a date for WWDC - the conference where Apple usually launches its iPhones. This time the conference starts on June 6, so look out around that date for the latest blackberry competition.

Wait for 3G/4G Mac is Not Over

3G 4G Macbook Air
It appears that a splendor feature aimed at business travelers a decade ago, implanted 3G, and now 4G, have become ever more customary in PC laptops aimed to consumers. Apple's most recent MacBook update in the rear-view mirror, now's as excellent time as any to think about what could be headed to the next generation of the company's notebook lineup.

Apple has also griped the wireless technology in its iPad, having jumped it from the iPhone to the original iPad on AT&T's GSM network, then later, on Verizon's CDMA network with the iPad 2. So what's the holdup in bringing that same technology to Macs? Is Apple waiting for something?

Of particular interest is embedded mobile broadband, a notable omission to the Mac laptop range that's now stretched into a waiting game of its own. This is the technology that lets your computer tap into cellular networks and use broadband data while on the go, sans a dopey USB adapter or wireless puck.

At the moment is that the timing has been off on the network side of the equation: 3G as we know it is on the road to being replaced by 4G, which offers a big speed improvement. Speed becomes especially important on computers versus phones because of the things people tend to do on them, like download files and e-mail attachments and run multiple applications that can slurp up data at a faster clip than smartphone apps.

Providers have placed gamble on the competing parts of the range, creating a situation where there's no easy way to buy hardware that will work with them all though technology is the one way that can do that. But the carriers and service providers have not made it so easy to get to that promised land of fast, wireless data. 4G as it's been marketed in the States is not truly 4G by the strict definition. There are different flavors of that "4G," like WiMax, HSPA+, and Long Term Evolution (LTE).

4G-chip producer Beceem, which was acquired by Broadcom back in October, has a chip in development that does both WiMax and LTE. Apple uses Broadcom's wireless chips in the iPad as well as the iPhone, and for Wi-Fi on its Macs. A similar dual-mode chip initiative was put forth by Sequans at Mobile World Congress last month. Intel, which supplies chips for Apple's notebooks and desktops is also said to be working on a similar solution of its own. In the interim that leaves device makers like Apple, as well as consumers, having to pick a standard and stick to it.

To the company's credit, it has provided a product that gives its own laptops wireless 3G service, though it's nowhere as seamless as a built-in modem. Since iOS 3.0, users with iPhones and a carrier data plan that supports tethering, can share their phone's connection with their computer over a USB connection or Bluetooth. In the Verizon version of the iPhone 4, Apple introduced a slightly more elegant feature that would let users turn the phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot, something that was later brought to GSM iPhone users in iOS 4.3.

Hard Disk Sata With Fast Speed Data Storage

hard drive data recovery, sata latest technology, technology hard drive, best sata hard drive,

How Are SATA Drives SuperiorSATA

Hard drives are fast, robust data storage devices. Unlike other obsolete technologies, SATA drives also provide other features that home users can benefit from.

The Acronym SATA stands for "Serial Advanced Technology Attachment," and is essentially a transportation system for data to and from a computer hard drive. Older types of hard drives use transport systems (also known as a "bus") that go by names such as Parallel ATA (PATA) and SCSI.

While SCSI is still being used in modern computer systems PATA has all but moved into obsolescence due to the super speed and capabilities of the SATA bus. This article will review the benefits of SATA hard drives over other types and also discusses how SATA cables differ from PATA and SCSI.

Hard Drive Speed Versus SATA Bus Speed

hard sata,best speed hard drive,fast hard drive,data recovery,hard drive blog,sata drive blog,

There are several things that go into determining the overall speed of an SATA hard drive. One of these is the speed of the SATA bus, which is currently limited by specification to 300MB/sec. This is more than enough bandwidth for almost any existing application, and far more than the now obsolete PATA specification.

As hard drive technologies continue to advance and as computers begin to provide more and more rich media content such as high definition video and complex video games this limit is already becoming a road block.

The second variable that figures in to the overall speed and performance of an SATA hard drive is the speed of the storage drive itself and how fast it can potentially push the data down the bus to the computer's processor and memory.

Advanced flash memory based hard drives will potentially be maxing out this 300MB cap in the near future, so a new version of SATA is now in the pipeline. The new version of the SATA standard (known as SATA 6) will be able to push data at twice the speed of the old version of SATA, and reports are that it should arrive in consumer products beginning in 2009.

What Are The Benefits of SATA Over Other Technologies?

Although speed is the primary benefit of using an SATA hard drive, other aspects of the SATA standard also bode very well for improved types of solid state SATA drives. Faster, larger capacity flash thumb drives can connect via the external SATA (eSATA) port that is now being built into many new computer systems.

In addition to the flexibility of eSATA drives another positive aspect of the SATA specification is the ease of use of the SATA cable and connectors. Old style PATA and SCSI cables are flat ribbon cables that are difficult to handle, block air flow inside the computer case, and have the connectors easily damaged or the pins bent if not carefully inserted.

SATA hard drives are now the current standard for almost all consumer brand computers. They are more than adequate for most home users and the backward compatibility built into the SATA specification means that any future upgrades to the specification will continue to work with existing SATA hard drives.

Gaming is just the beginning - Nintendo's new 3DS

Nintendo's new 3Ds Gaming:-

Editor's note:- Scott Steinberg is the head of technology and video game consulting firm TechSavvy Global, as well as the founder of GameExec magazine and Game Industry TV. The creator and host of online video series Game Theory, he frequently appears as an on-air technology analyst for ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CNN.
(CNN) -- Nintendo 3DS, a glasses-free 3-D handheld video game system, arrives March 27 for $249.99.
Nintendo hopes it will make the strongest case yet for 3-D special effects affordability and relevance.
But calling it a gaming console may be the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American public.
Gaming, it turns out, might be among the least of the system's capabilities.
The device will also deliver an array of other fully-connected entertainment experiences, according to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime at the 2011 Game Developers Conference.
From 3-D movies to TV shows, digital music to augmented reality applications, the company is clearly assigning tremendous importance to non-gaming applications.
Though they won't say it directly, Nintendo clearly plans to make the system a Trojan horse for the larger world of 3-D multimedia. This should scare the competition.
It's an infinitely more practical, and reasonably priced, 3-D argument than a $1500+ HDTV that tethers you to your couch.
If Nintendo can make this portable device as common and trusted for 3-D entertainment as smartphones are for e-mail or Web surfing, it may single-handedly deliver the breakthrough that carries this technology to mainstream prominence.
Yes, the system will play 3-D versions of premium game franchises like "Street Fighter" and "The Legend of Zelda," says Fils-Aime. Yes, in the wake of increasing pressure from tens of thousands of readily available free and 99-cent apps, it will redouble efforts to justify $39.99 average software prices by offering "premium experiences you can't get anywhere else."
But with free AT&T WiFi hotspot availability, Netflix movie streaming and the ability to create, download and physically interact with 3-D content among its arsenal of tricks, the company may have yet to play its trump card.
The system lacks 3G/4G high-speed connectivity, and Nintendo is known for ardently policing material licensed for sale or distribution -- virtually or otherwise -- for its consoles.
But by letting users view, download and generate a variety of 3-D material, the system could prove to be the most cost-effective and practical on-demand 3-D content portal on the market.
Should Nintendo decide to enable sharing of user-generated content or enable the three-camera device for high-speed cellular connectivity and casual videoconferencing, the scope of this potential power play becomes even larger.
nintendo technology,blog latest technology,technology nintendo,

While a dedicated stand-alone gaming system such as the Nintendo 3DS can't rival smartphones or tablet PCs for sheer ubiquity, consider this:
If 3-D technology takes off the way manufacturers hope, Nintendo's new device may give them an instant entrée into entirely new areas of entertainment, a leg up in the race to legitimize 3-D content and a secret weapon in the war to reclaim the territory recently ceded to Apple and its growing gaming focus.

Android, Windows Phone 7 undefeated Hacking competition Leaves

windows 7 phone,hacking leaves,android windows 7 phone,hacking competition leaves,hacking android,
It took only two days for hackers to crack into the Apple and Blackberry operating systems during the three-day Pwn2Own tournament last week, while Android and Windows Phone 7 models were abandoned and left unhacked by the end of the contest.
Is this because their operating systems are more secure? Yes and no.
"The survival of a target at Pwn2Own does not automatically declare it safer than a target that went down," last year's Internet Explorer Pwn2Own winner Peter Vreugdenhil cautions. The contestants who were lined up to beat the Android and WP7 devices in the competition withdrew for a variety of reasons.

android phene,windows 7 phone,hacking phone,competition leaves,windows 7 android undefeated hacking leaves,
now in its fifth year, is a hacking competition divided into two areas: web browsers and mobile phones.
This year, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, Apple Safari 5.0.3, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome were the web-browser targets. In the mobile phone category, the Dell Venue Pro (Windows Phone 7), Apple iPhone 4 (iOS), BlackBerry Torch 9800 (Blackberry 6) and Nexus S (Android) were targeted.
The OS and browser versions were frozen last week (so for example, Apple's Safari 5.0.4 update was not used), ensuring that all contestants are working on the same version of each OS.
Pwning and owning occurs if the hacker defeats the frozen version. If the exploit they used still exists in the current firmware, they are also eligible to receive a monetary prize. The 2011 Pwn2Own competition ran March 9 to 11.
Vreugdenhil says many different factors determine how hard a target is to hack. There's the safety of the software itself, the exploit mitigations that are already in place for that software, and then the amount of research that has already been conducted (which can speed up the process of writing an actual exploit).
Firefox and Chrome web browsers were also left undefeated because contestants withdrew from Pwn2Own.
"Chrome has the advantages of having multiple exploit-mitigation techniques that certainly make it more difficult to hack. As for Android, we see no particular reason why Android would be harder to hack than one of the other targets."
Safari, Chrome, iPhone, Android and Blackberry all use WebKit in their browsers, which means that they are all susceptible to exploitation through the browser -- and that's exactly how the iPhone and Blackberry were attacked.
Charlie Miller, a Pwn2Own veteran, worked with Dion Blazakis to hack the iPhone 4 in this year's competition using a flaw in its Mobile Safari Web browser and a "specially-crafted webpage." A team of 3 (Vincenzo Iozzo, Willem Pinckaers, and Ralf Philipp Weinmenn) defeated the BlackBerry Torch using a similar technique.
So what did the contest's organizers think of the outcome of 2011's Pwn2Own?
Vreugdenhil and other organizers were not surprised that the iPhone went down quickly. It has been a major target and a lot of research has already been done on that platform.
Android's survival was a bit of a surprise, since it is also a big target and had four contestants lined up.
Although no device is unhackable, some factors contribute to a safer product. For those that are out to find the safest phone on the market, Vreugdenhil says you'll want to compare features such as DEP (Data Execution Prevention), ASLR (address space layout randomization), Sandboxing, code signing and the ease with which software can be updated on the device.
