Samsung Go to the Digital Art World

SEOUL - Samsung took the bold step, after the Korean electronics giant is melenggangkan feet into the art world, a world that is rarely visited by other electronics companies.

Reportedly, now Samsung is developing new high-resolution LCD screen for displaying artwork. The device is called, "digital canvas" allows the company to woo the art market that is able to generate $ 60 million per year.

"This is a very special occasion," said Scott Birnbaum, vice president of new business development for Samsung Semiconductor. Similarly, reported by Reuters on Monday (7/11/2011).

The concept of electronic art has been tried before, but has not yielded special. This is due to the low look and lack of availability of digital painting.

Regarding the LCD that was developing, Samsung said that the screen is capable of displaying more vivid colors and supports viewing of texture brush.

Samsung is currently working with Planar Systems, a digital imaging company which will supply the frame for the LCD screen art. The plan, Planar will launch the product "digital canvas" this next year.

Soon, perhaps the artists will receive new options in work, work in pixel size. (tyo)
