Does Windows RT need Anti-Virus software?

Windows RT is a new Windows platform. A completely new platform which shares no compatibility with older Windows OS which means that you won't be able to run any Windows (XP, Vista,7) applications in your RT devices. In simple words, .exe file is not supported in your RT device.
There are no virus or bugs threat in Windows RT (till now). So, you basically won't need a Anti-Virus software either. Infact there is no anti-virus software in Windows Store itself. Windows RT is virus free. You won't get infected by Windows(Xp,Vista,7) viruses as it won't read those virus files at all. They may enter your hard-drive(internal storage) but won't do any sort of harm. They will just be "unreadable files". So, it's easy. You basically won't need a Antivirus Software for your RT device at all!

Does Windows RT catch Viruses?

When it comes to "Windows OS", there's always one thing you need to be afraid of. Yes, it's "VIRUS" what I am talking about. Windows 98, XP,Vista, 7 and even Windows 8 are prone of being infected by Computer Viruses. But what about Windows RT, the new Windows introduced platform which is most likely to be used by Tablets. Does it become infected by worms and viruses?
Windows RT is a new platform that doesn't share compatibility with any old version of Windows. It is not going to run any of your .exe  files or any old Windows softwares and programs.This can be a good news for many of as well. With non-compatibility with the Windows software, you are free from Microsoft Windows Platform Viruses. The virus from your computer may be transferred to your Windows RT device but is most likely to be un-read by the device leading to no harm or threats to your Tablet powered by Windows RT. Small malwares and spyware may still attack your RT device device, but this OS till now has no serious thread that you need to be scared of. For now, Windows RT doesn't catch any kind of Virus and you don't need to install any kind of AntiVirus either. You don't need antivirus software and there are no antivirus software in Windows Store either.

Google's Nexus 10 tablet - OUT NOW!

After the longer waited news Google announces the Samsung Nexus 10 tablet running on the  latest and greatest version of Android (4.2) according to thier own website. In addition to this, Google described to its own tablet as follows:
        "Nexus 10 is the newest tablet from Google. With the world’s highest resolution tablet display, all new multi-user support, immersive HD content and the best Google apps – Nexus 10 has something for everyone".

 

Hardware:

The Nexus 10 is Google’s answer to Apple’s latest event on 23rd October 2012, complete with stereo speakers, front and rear cameras, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 2GB Ram and either 16 or 32GB storage options. This impressive hardware boats behind a 2560-by-1600 pixel display, boasting the highest resolution of any tablet on the market with a pixel density of 300 pixel per inch, far greater than the iPad’s 264 ppi equivalent. Apple’s ‘Retina’ branding doesn’t seem all that impressive anymore.

However, the device is missing 3G or 4G LTE connectivity, meaning you’ll need to tether the tablet to a mobile hotspot or internet connected smartphone whenever a WiFi connection is unavailable. It’s possible Google will add 3G/4G models at some point in the future, like they have with the Nexus 7, but until then it’s WiFi only unfortunately

Price?

The price sails from £319 for 16GB Nexus, direct from Google's online store. That’s £80 cheaper than Apple’s cheapest fourth generation iPad. Bottom Line

It is too early for judgement if this tablet stands out among other tablets, however, when you combine the Nexus 10’s price, power, technology and multi-user support, Google really have built a tablet that goes toe-to-toe with other devices in the current market but we will be waiting to see how well the Nexus 10 fares against the others this holiday season.

LG Google Nexus 4 is officially out and it's price is what is going to make you buy it. Priced at only 299$, it is one of the best budget super phone you  can get anywhere in the world. Seriously, looking at its specs sheet, I don't want to call it budget phone because most of its specification is better than that of high-end smartphones. The chipset is very powerful combined with 2 gigs of RAM. The only place where you will have to think twice while buying this device is "Storage". LG Google Nexus 4 comes in only two storage options (8GB/16GB) which is pretty low for today's standards. Other than that, everything is perfect. Nexus 4 is equipped with 8MP camera capable of 1080p HD Video recording, Quad Core Krait Processor clocked at 1.5GHz and all the other goodies you would want to see in your superphone.

How big is Windows RT application library?

Windows RT is not the same as Windows 8. The major difference to be noted is that Windows(XP,Vista,7) application and all the softwares won't run on Windows RT. That's where people have to think twice before buying Surface Tablet or any other Windows RT tablets. You can use Windows RT in desktop mode but has very limited apps. However, Microsoft Office 2013 comes pre-installed in all RT devices.
So, if Windows Application won't run on RT devices, what will? The answer is simple. Windows RT has its own Windows Store from where you can buy and download applications. The other thing is that this is the only place through which you can get softwares and apps.  The library sadly isn't very large. You will find it to be a ghost town with very little applications. For now, you won't be happy with what Windows Store has to offer but you can be assured it to have just as much apps in Android and Windows Store in some months or years. There are also many XBox titles to choose from and download.
Windows RT is a completely new platform and is very impressive.The Windows RT application library is soon to get very large because a lot of developers are working to create applications that supports Windows RT. Even you have already purchased a RT device, you can sit back relaxed because each day you open up the Windows Store, you'll find something interesting to download. Windows RT is really beautiful platform which you are going to enjoy. Go for it if you are bored with iOS and Windows. Applications are not going to be a problem. One of the best thing out RT is that it has microsoft office pre installed. It is the same as that of Windows 8 one. Many other applications are being ported as well. Multi-tasking is awesome in this platform and many gestures are included as well. Developers are focusing more on Windows RT which is great news for us. Windows RT Tablet(Microsoft Surface) : Does it beat Nexus 10 and iPad 4th generation?

                                                    
Windows is getting a lot of media coverage. Windows RT has many features similar to Windows 8. Microsoft had earlier unveiled its own Windows Surface Tablet with full sized USB 2.0 Port. There are many more Windows RT running tablets like Samsung Ativ Tab, Asus Vivo Tab RT, Dell XPS 10,etc.  All of these tablets are 10 inchers which have capabilities similar to that of desktop OS. Also Windows RT is powered by Microsoft Office 2013. Microsoft has really done a lot to Windows RT. Now, the real question arises: Can Windows RT Tablets take over iOS of iPad 4th generation and Android 4.2 of Nexus 10.
iPad 4th generation doesn't have much new to offer. It is just a upgraded version of iPad 3. It runs on iOS 6.x.x and has many awesome features like dedicated multi-tasking, split keyboard, multi-touch gestures and many more. Most of the apps are optimized for iPad's very own retina display having resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. It has pixel density of 264 which is very high. Nexus 10 by Samsung is no less. That device has the maximum resolution Android 4.2 has to offer,ie. 2560 x 1600 pixels with 299ppi. Also, iPad has only 1 gig of RAM while both Nexus 10 and Windows RT have 2GB of RAM. Since, all the 3 devices use different operating system from one another, there is very less comparing. Talking specs wise, Nexus 10 is the most advanced with it's high res screen, 1.7GHz Exynos 5250 chipset and 5MP camera capable of 1080p HD video recording. There are many other goodies included as well but the disappointing factor here is that it has 32GB storage option and no Micro SD expansion slot. iPad too doesn't have micro SD expansion slot however has a 64GB version which can quite well compensate card slot. Both iPad and Nexus 10 have huge application library and many games to choose from.


Windows Surface in the other hand is quite different from both iOS (iPad) and Android(Nexus 10) in terms of UI and application management. There are live tiles and has many Xbox games titles. More interestingly, Windows Surface Tablet also has desktop mode which is more or less like Windows 7. You also get some windows applications like Paint, Notepad and Settings similar to that to Windows 7. Unfortunately, Windows applications are not compatible with this operating system. This device has a special glass and Microsoft boasts it to have very less reflection in this screen. What's good about it is that it has a big and solid kick stand. It is very impressive. There is also a Micro-SD card slot which can take cards upto 128GB. A full sized USB port is a plus. The operating system is very impressive and multi-tasking is very good in this device as well. 
For now Surface Tablet is what has won our heart. We enjoyed it more maybe because this whole thing is new for us. The only thing missing in RT tablets is large application library. The UI as well as settings are pretty neat. The OS is fast and very responsive. The gestures are great as well. The Windows RT is in between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. This is a very good device and can replace your desktop almost completely.

PS3 Level 0 keys leaked: Will there be cfw for 3K and 4K PS3?

Ps3 LV0 keys were leaked some days earlier by some team called "The Three Musketeers" .Now some wonder what good will come from this. The answer is simple. No matter to what firmware Sony upgrades its PS3 to, PS3s will be easily hackable. The LV0 keys are like the PS3 master key. No matter what Sony does now, PS3's will be hackable. This applies to all PS3's running on firmware 3.55 or lower. PS3 which came out of the box with fw 3.55+ may not enjoy the release of LV0 keys or the release of cfw 4.21. 
However, a question arises: What will happen to the 3K and 4K PS3 models? Will the PS3 which have come out of the box  with firmware 3.55+ be hacked and can enjoy the cfw and all the homebrew goodies? The answer is "No". Although LV0 are out you can't be certain a hack is going to come for the newer models. The devs will have to find exploit in the in the firmware and apply patch in the pup file. It has been years that we haven't seen cfw for PS3's with 3.55+ firmware and there are very less probability of seeing them in the near future. However, seeing the progress made in the scene we can expect the newer PS3's being hacked somewhere in the future. The only thing you can do is wait and have patience. Let the developers do their work and find exploit in the current firmware. However, cfw should be used only to enjoy homebrew not run pirated games.

iPad 4th generation: Why is it released so early?

2 iPad releases in just 1 year. We know that is rare for Apple to do so but that is what has happened. iPad 3rd generation or the "The new iPad" was released on March 16th on 2012 and then "The iPad 4th generation" was released on October 23th 2012. Many of the iPad 3 are most probably disappointed by the decision of Apple to launch the newer iPad. Moreover there is no upgrade plans for those who already own iPad 3. One major change is that the new 4th generation iPad has A6X processor which is a dual core processor with quad-core GPU and has powerful wireless antenna.

So, why did Apple release the newer iPad so early? The answer is quite simple. The Windows 8 surface tablet. Windows is way ahead of Apple when it comes to desktop computing. Apple knew quite well that Microsoft had in their sleeves. The Windows surface tablet is expected to be the best tablet ever which is a fusion of desktop Windows 8 OS and mobile Windows 8 OS. 

Apple was quite under pressure from both Android World and Microsoft World and had no choice but to release the new iPad 4th generation. They needed to do something fast and the new iPad was their solution. The release of the iPad 4th generation was not expected on 23rd October. Many say it is too soon but for some it is just perfect. There is no increment in price how so ever. They boosted the processing power, brought in the new lightlning connector, improved their camera and called it the  "5 MP iSight Camera" and called itself the new 4th generation iPad. The new iPad is supposed to be of a good competition of the Microsoft Surface tablet and other Windows 8 tablet and also rumoured 10 inch Nexus 10 from Samsung. That's why they released it so early.

Why iPad Mini sucks

The iPad Mini is here guys. But I really don't think you will like it. It's not even a 7 incher that you can carry around in one hand. iPad Mini has 7.9 inch screen which is really not that easy to use single handed. We had expected it to be a good competitor of Asus Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD but looks like we are wrong. It doesn't even have quad-core CPU have Nexus 7 has. Honestly, we can't compare iPad Mini with other budget 7 inch tablet as it's initial offering is 329$ for 16GB model which is quite expensive.
You can expect it to have all the limitation that other Apple products have. It has no micro-sd card expansion slot. You should be still dependent upon iTunes to transfer datas,songs, videos and everything else. It's steep pricing is what has disappointed us the most. Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD although have similar specification are less expensive and deliver almost the same experience. It sure has a 5MP iSight camera but who really cares about a back facing Camera in a tablet. This device is really not worth it. It would had been much better if the price would be low with no back facing camera. If you really want a big screen why not get a 10 inch tablet then? iPad Mini doesn't really doesn't really fulfill it's sole purpose. If you are looking at the budget, there are a lot of 10 inch tablets which are widely available for iPad Mini's price range. The price of iPad Mini can go up to 659$ for 64GB cellular version which is way too expensive.
The iPad Mini has specifications similar to that of iPad 2. It really has nothing revolutionary. There is no retina display and the pixel density is quite low(162 ppi). It is quite low for today's standard. For instance both Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD sport pixel density of 216 making the display crisp and very sharp. Not only the processor, even iPad Mini has limited RAM (512MB) which its rivals have 1GB of RAM.  We can also fear about incompatibility issues with new applications and software updates as iPad Mini uses last years technology.

iPad Mini : Key features

It's finally here guys. It's something that we had been waiting for years. A 7 incher from Apple though it is 7.9 inches actually. It has the same resolution as the iPad 2. The rumour turned out to be true. Even the images that were leaked months back match with this beast. While the price point may disappoint you, the specifications surely won't. 16 GB costs 329$ while 32GB mini is $429, 64GB for $519. $130 each additional for LTE connectivity. 

iPad Mini has 1,024 x 768 display resolution along with 5MP iSight Camera. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p HD videos. Like the new 4th generation iPad, it too has a 720p front facing camera. There is no retina display though. This device is very slim at only 7.2mm thick. Battery life is rated 10 hours which is quite good. There is a dual core processor powering this device. The device is quite wide though. It's impressive to see what Apple has done with the new device. 



Talking about connectivity it is well equipped with 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band WiFi, and there's a Lightning connector as well. Siri is also pre-loaded in iPad Mini. Google Maps isn't still here. It has all those goodies iOS 6 has to offer. iPad Mini can be a very good competitor of Asus Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD and can blow them both out in many aspects leaving apart the price point.

Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation: The Best Media Player

The Apple iTouch 5th generation is finally here. It is one media player you have been waiting all your life. iTouch 5g along iPhone5  is the first 4 inch device from Apple. Not only that, the iTouch 5g will use 8 pin "Lightning" connector instead of the 30 pin connector. It has got everything upgraded in it. That's truly awesome, isn't it?
