Windows app store announced

We have a revealed a reliable source close to the company that Microsoft has announced it will launch an app store like Android Market to provide applications for Windows 8 computers, which due to hit the shelves in February 2012.
Windows store will allow users to download free trial copies for limited time but the minimum price for those that charge will be $1.49; check it out that trial period. However, developers will be able to submit their apps to the store from late February next year.

Google Android’s 10billion app downloads

Google said that a billion apps was now downloaded every month from Android Market since it launched in 2008, which gives Google a credit toward its competitors such as Apple-ITunes.
However, Google offers selling selected apps for just 10 pence with a 10-days promotion that has stated on Tuesday, which will last until the 16th December 2011. Ice Cream Sandwich -Update

There is no flash support for the Ice Cream Sandwich OS in the android market, for the time being. However, this will be a drawback for fandroids who bought the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus which was released on 17th November 2011 or those who willing to tweak the Android 4.0 operating system source code.
Even so, an Adobe representative has confirmed to Pocket-lint that Ice Cream Sandwich will indeed get Flash support by the end of 2011.

Google to launch music service + FREE service

It’s been awhile since Google kept its music service as a trial “Beta” in the United Stated only to a limited people. Google reveals the detail of its music service today, and now it’s about the time to launch Google's music service to everyone in the States; let hope that Google rolls out this service globally soon. Regardless whatever device you're using, you can store, stream your music stream via the web or on the fly up to 20,000, right...for free. In addition to, the items you purchase as well; the songs and albums will be for sale in the Android Market. Google Music is compatible with Android and Apple iOS devices, and can also be accessed from PC browsers.
Remember, if you haven't got unlimited data plan on your device. You can still download your music off online so you can listen on the fly.

HTC Reviews Android Ice Cream Sandwich Upgrade

HTC has released an official statement regarding its next move after Google introduced the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at Samsung’s Unpacked 2011 on Wednesday.
HTC’s full statement said,

"We are excited about the latest update for Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and are currently reviewing its features and functionality to determine our upgrade plans. Our goal for Android updates is to give every customer an improved user experience, which means balancing each phone’s unique hardware, HTC Sense experience and the Android kernel. While our goal is to upgrade as many of our recent devices as possible, we are committed to maintaining every phone’s performance and usability first. Please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans".

It remains to be seen exactly which devices, how and when will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich out of HTC's whole Android portfolio, but between scrambling to get new hardware out more suitable for ICS and reviewing what to do with the HTC Sense overlay now, it might take a while until we see the updates boasting Android 4.0 (Android Ice Cream Sandwich).

HTC promises fix for massive Android security flaw

There is security leak and HTC said they are aware of the problem and a update should come soon to fix the issue. basically what happens when you download thirty part apps "specially untrusted apps" hackers can access the vulnerable data includes the phone’s IP address, CPU information, and running processes. However HTC made very clear and said “A third-party malware app exploiting this or any other vulnerability would potentially be acting in violation of civil and criminal laws.”
So far, HTC says no customers have been affected by the issue, which affects its Sense software on Android phones. Sense contains a logging application that collects data about your phone but mistakenly leaves it open to third-party apps.

HTC says it’s working “very diligently” on an update that will fix the issue, which will first be tested with its carrier partners before its released over-the-air. For now, the company says users should be extra cautious about obtaining apps from untrusted sources.

Skype Finally Brings Video Chat to Most Android Phones

 This will be good new for Android users because Skype launched an updated version of the video chatting software for Android smartphones, which now includes support for tablets and the most popular phones running the OS. Samsung Galaxy phones, HTC, and Sony Ericsson devices can now do Skype video chat, as well as the Galaxy Tab and Flyer 7-inch tablets.

When Skype brought video chatting on Android it drew criticism that only a handful of phones were initially supported, leaving out popular Android phones from Samsung and HTC. This issue seems to be resolved with version 2.1 of Skype for Android, which added support for 17 popular devices. The app is now available to download from the Android Market and works over both Wi-Fi and 3G connections.

Some caveats still exist on Skype for Android. If your phone has not received the Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update, you won’t be able to use the front-facing camera on your phone--that’s because Android 2.2 (Froyo) only allows the back camera to work, Skype said.

If you really want to use Skype for Android, but your phone is not on the supported devices list, you should still be able to enable video calling in the Skype settings (just go to "Skype settings" after launching the app and select "enable video calling"), but only if you are using Android 2.2 or newer. Skype warns that in this case, video call quality may not be as good as on a certified device.

Okay--I downloaded this app to my PC, and without warning it installed a new toolbar on my browser. Aaaaaaaggh! Anyway, here’s how this gem of an app works: You upload pictures of yourself and your partner, and then MakeMeBabies uses “face recognition” technology to mash the two faces together into one child’s face.
But something goes wrong. The faces that the app creates don’t always look exactly human. The amalgamated face has all of the expected components in a predictable array, but something crucial is missing in the eyes--in place of a natural human gaze, there's just a cold, appraising stare. Bodysnatchers!
Background Check
Similar to the popular Date Check app, which allows you to run a quick background check on a potential hook-up, Background Check from BeenVerified.com does, well, pretty much the same thing.
You get two choices: a background check or an email search. To trigger a background check, you enter the first and last name of the person of interest, and the app spits out any relevant data it has on the person's criminal record, property, relatives' and neighbors' names, and “also known as” aliases. To request an email search, you enter a person’s email address or select an address from your own address book, and the app seeks out any blogs, videos, photos, or social networking pages associated with that email address.
Background Check is advertised as "free" but really you get just one "comprehensive" check per month, and after that you have to pay $1.99 for a basic search.
Baby Manager
This app is more dumb than creepy, but still... Baby Manager is the app of choice for mothers who are so obsessive that they want to report everything the kid drinks, eats, or poops every hour of every day. Then, after a given amount of time, Neurotic Mother can run analytics on all the data she’s collected, make potentially spurious determinations about the health of the baby, and pester the pediatrician with the details yet another Google-based diagnosis of an imaginary problem. And of course all the eating, sleeping, peeing, and pooping data can be shared with other neurotic mothers over Twitter and Facebook.
