Yes, you heard me right. A 7 inch tablet just for 20$(Rs.1,130). It is lunched today in India by the Indian President. Made for students, this may be the best tablet for those who can't afford expensive tablets. This is Aakash 2 which is the predecessor of Aakash 1 which was unveiled last year in India itself.
The key features of this tablet are as follows:
- 7" Display
- 1GHz Cortex A-8 Processor
- 512 MB of RAM
- 4GB Flash Memory
- Front Facing VGA camera
- Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich
- 3 Hrs Battery Life
- Built-In WiFi
This may not be the best tablet around but is the best for its price. Although, they are selling it for 20$ for the students, they plan to sell it for around 80$ in international market. The manufacturing company also stated that it comes then Rs.2,236(around 42$) to make 1 Aakash 2 tablet. This tablet is released on the occasion of Education day and is mainly targeted for students.
