Windows Phone 8 which was released by Microsoft some months back may be one of the best mobile OS available right now. But the real question is, Is it better then Android? Can windows phone outsmart Android which is the king of mobile OS right now? Let's find out.
Windows phone 8 comes with a lot of new features which were missing in Windows phone 7, 7.5 and 7.8 finally, all the limitations are now removed. The key features of Windows Phone 8 are as follows:

- DirectX graphics support
- MS Office mobile pre-installed
- Social integration easy access

There are plenty of new features, aren't there? Well, there are tons which we have yet not taken notice of. Windows Phone 8 really looks like awesome and may take over Android some day.To be honest, Windows Phone 8 is not still as good as Android . There are still a lot of things missing For instance, there are no shortcut option from lock-screen, no widgets and stuffs like that. The only place from where you can get your applications is the Windows Store. 3rd party applications from other sites doesn't seem to work.
Windows Phone is getting great day by day. But, on the other hand, Android is getting much more better. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean 4.2 offers multi-user account which is great for tablet users. The face unlock feature is also very cool. This feature now works perfectly with the liveliness check option. The max supported resolution of Android 4.2 is much higher than that of Windows Phone 8 as well.
So, for now Android is still better than Windows. However, if you are bored with the Android layout and the same old widgets, you can give Windows Phone a try. They are not bad either. The only thing you will miss is the big application library and some minor things like music equalizers, no voice assistant, etc. So, that's it for now. Also, there is no file manager in Windows Phone as there is in Android.
